So, this is to the OP you took the electronics off and moved the arm controlling the nozzles and then reinstalled the electronics? If so that is your problem you can't just randomly take stuff apart and move it around and expect it to work right. You need to have a professional recalibrate your VGT.

i took it appart way before it was on my truck. that is when i found out that they are timed together. so when it was on my truck i was timeing it. i got very close and then i moved it one more notch fired it up and then my truck sputtuerd and died. started it back up and i had check engine light. then the turbo no longer changed its position. to fix this i have cleaned all the grounds i could find and i think i have it fixed because the check engine light went away but the turbo still does not work. so i think if i replace the turbo it will be good as new.

if its a brand new turbo, i wouldnt go replacing it. something just isnt right..

of course im no help, but i wouldnt go throwing another VGT in there. gonna have the same problem again

VGTs IMO are the way to go, you're just not supposed to take them apart and mess with them.

im just saying he bought a new VGT, and now wants to replace it with another VGT. them damn things arent cheap !!

Hopefully he got his used like I got mine used for under $400. But I agree even at that price it still ain't pocket change in my book.
