Default Lacking Power Help!!

The other week my truck had the check engine light come. Codes were for the MAP sensor and cam position sensor. The truck before the issue would run 35 psi boost on demand, now it lacks power in the mid and high end and most boost I can make is like 28 pounds. So out of curiosity I unplugged the the chip from the map sensor. Smoke(obvoiusly) and no codes now, but still runs the same. Also if I slowly push the throttle while in neutral it revs up fine until 1500 rpm then it hickups, then keeps revving fine. Only has that hickup at 1500 rpm then everything seems right and I dont seem to notice it driving the truck. I was going to replace the map sensor but it seems pointless to do that if it runs the same when I bypass the sensor. Any help or wise words would be appreciated. Also the problem started the morning after some hard driving and racing around but all night had good fuel pressure so I dont think its VP problems.

I should have asked how did you bypass the map sensor? just a jumper wire? if Im correct the map sensors need to have some kind of electrical resistance..

Well turbo is good, spins freely with no shaft play. Good connections on power and ground. I bypassed the map sensor by unplugging my edge from it completly. Probably not the right way to do it but the codes left after doing it. AND noticed that the truck has less power floored than it does half throttle

Maybe you can try to relearn your APPS? If your pedal is acting funny to you? but yes makes sure your Boots and tubes are good!

It helped with the inconstant pedal feel but still lacking boost and power and couldnt find any leaks anywhere. I even blocked the wastegate off completely and still 28 pounds max.
