If it's a 53 block then yes pull the motor and send to me. Lol search 53 block then you shall see.

These blocks were cast poorly and can , will crack. In stock to moderate -500hp It would be fine. Much more then it could go. I have worked on 2 cummins trucks a 99 and a 01 and neither had the 53 so not sure the the 00 did but could be wrong as I am a ford guy 2.

i found a 5 small on the driver side forward of where the 53 should be and an A on on the passenger side forward of where the 53 should be ? what does this mean ? and the truck was built in mexico does that mean its a mexico block ?

I know one guy who has a 53 block with 165,000, he has a smarty and a airdog pump and he hasnt had any problems other than his stock auto tranny starting to give him trouble. he said he lets its get up to operating temperature before he drives it.

There was a law suit on the "53" blocks last year, i recived a letter in the mail about them saying they would give me $500 rebate if my block cracked... considering it costs 5k to repair it i threw the letter out... waste of time
