Default Overdrive on or off

So this is probably a dumb question but should I drive with overdrive on or off. I have a 98 24v Cummins

Depends on the terrain your driving in. Nice and flat leave it on. Real hilly turn it off. Also If you tow and want to keep your rpms up, turn it off.

If you have 3.54 gears turn the od off untill going over 45. if you have 4.10s(like me) leave the od off till you're doing 35-40ish. It's better for the TQ and keeps the fliud flowing at optimum. Thus more going through the trans cooler. All this equals longer life. All this is from Dan at Masta Performance Transmissions.
