Fuel pin problems

I just bought a bd diesel fuel pin and put it in. Now whenever I try and start my truck it idles for a half a second and then turns off. What's the problem?

Did you install it backwards? The slope goes to the front of the truck.

did you knock off the shut off solenoid wire or something? the fuel pin shouldn't make any difference.
