A guy at work has a intercooler he wants to sell me. He says its a "universal", so im wondering if it will work on my truck. He only wants $180 for it, its new with chrome tubes. Im trying to find out if it will fit. What all do i need to know about it to make sure it will work?anything has to better than the non-i/c setup I have now.

 

find the specs of a intercooler for our trucks that came with them and go from there. for sure the width because of the radiator width. need to be able to run the piping to turbo and intake plenum. and correct size of pipe.? and i dont know but is there a flow rate for intercoolers depending on engine size and anything else.?? good luck

 

Make sure it will also handle atleast 30 psi and a good volume of air.

 

yea x2 on the 30psi atleast and make sure the piping is flanged or you will be blowing boots off like its your job
