Hey i was wondering a few mods for towing i pull a 21 ft. toy hauler and have a 89 cummins. with a 3 speed automatic. what r a couple good mods to make my tow experiance better.

 

if you want to stay with an automatic then i would switch to a 47rh so that you can get a lockup TC or swap to a nv4500-nv5600-g56 stick shift

if you dont want to swap trans then i would put a new tc in with alot lower stall speed.

also fill out your sig so that we can see the current mod's that you have already done

 

Truck is stock fuel pin is turned up a little

 

With your non lockup tc your best towing investment will be in the transmission
