Default questions about tires

i had a blowout tonight on my front right tire. i do not have a spare 35'' tire and cant afford one for an 18'' wheel right now, but a friend of mine has a 33'' tire tfor an 18'' rim and he claims its safe to run as long as i do not use 4x4? i do not know if its true whats your guys opinion?

I wouldn't use it.probably will through every thing out if wacky being that big of a difference. I was told this don't know if its true but chrysler don't like having diferrent tire sizes it throws the alignment and everything off.

Braking would be very unpredictable. At the very least, it won't brake straight.

That's what sucks about big rims, the price of tires goes way up. Now everybody's running them, so 15s and 16s are less common, so they're going up in price Anyway, I'd probably run it on a temporary basis, just keep the size difference in mind and don't be tearing around corners and stuff. Consider it a "donut" spare and keep the hubs or axle unlocked. A newer ABS or traction control system might not like the difference in rolling diameter, but that system should be okay. Get the propper tire as soon as you can and keep an eye on inflation
