Default too much smoke!!!!

I have tried many times to adjust the pump and mess around with turbo.

I used an hx35, the smoke cleaned but i was barking the turbo in the higher gears.

have an hx40, extreme smoke in first , secound and third, cleans up in fourth.

I have the denny 2 pin, and put the pump back to stock, it still smokes like a train.

was wondering if anyone had thoughts on this.

thinking of putting propane on and to start around 3 psi, or the compound turbos.

thinking of the hx40 with the hx55, or is there something else that I,m not thinking about, that can be done

my compression is 16.5:1

everything that is done to my truck is in my sig.

I know that it is not enough air in the front end, so with compounds, I worried that using a hx35 with bark it, plus if I use the hx40, i know it still will blow black, so I think I'm going to try the propane.

Man I run 5x12's in mine with a MAXED pump like all I can do to mine fore fuel is bump the pressure going to the pump n locktite the front seal or go to a 14mm head. I run an HX35 with a non gated 16cm housing n it doesn't bark at all when it still had the H1C she would bark n shutter on me. I think you have an intercooler problem.

I lost about 6 pounds boost over a period of two weeks n was getting poor power with lots of smoke. I pulled the intercooler n filled it with water n it drained out faster then I could fill it. I changed the intercooler with a tested one n it clears up great now even with the hx35. I'd start looking between the turbo and the intake for leaks. Also hows the air filter?

what do you mean bark the turbo? i have a rock stock truck and an H1C. boost is terrible. you gotta run the **** out of it to get above 10psi and i checked the gauge with another. i wanna put an M2 fuel pin in, will that help boost or would an hx35 be a good upgrade?

Both would be good upgrades. The H1C off an intercooled truck I think is good till about 280hp and a hx35 is efficient till about 350hp. 10lds is kinda low though it should be around 18 or so. Uh turbo bark is basically when you let off and the turbo tries to slow down super fast.

did a test, found no leaks.

i think it might be a combination of things.
#1 I ported and polished the head, by dong this, I dont have much restriction for air flow.
#2 used marine psitons with a larger bowl diameter 16.5:1, when doing this, you allowed for more air.
#3 turbo, there is not turbo out there that uses exhasut gasses for what I want.

I think that I will have to drop the turbo all together and get a blower or belt driven turbo.

now it is time to look for one.

or I can use an hx35 with a 12cm housing with hx55, anyone have experience at all with this combination?

been sitting here thinking. bad idea

what if I take the hx35 and run it with hx40, I dont want alot of boost just around 30 or 40 will do me fine, my idea is that the hx35 with the 12cm housing will help me with low rpm and the hx40 will help in the higher range, I would put a external waist gate on hx35 and the 40 will have none. the 40 is a 16cm and both ends are 60

any thoughts.
