Hello first off been a very bad day I lost a rear end wheel bearing and played with it for 5 hours at a rest area today trying to get it off. Advance Auto Parts actually delivered the new parts to the rest area which was good. Here is my problem I have been leaking fuel out of the weep hole for awhile. I was driving along the interstate and the truck just died. No matter where I turned the motor over I could not get the prime lever to get any tension. So I had a new pump in the back put that on with no sealant primed right up bled the line to the filter and the one leaving the filter cracked one injector and she fired up.
I called AAA back to tell them I didn't need a tow truck and continued to drive through Georgia. Got about 40 miles and she just died again. I pumped the primer a couple times no bleeding this time. Turned right over so I decided to call it a day and drove about a mile to a motel. I was heading to Tennessee from Florida but I am thinking of just turning back. I just don't know if I will even make it back. I am going to the parts store in the morning and get some sealant for the lines and change the fuel filter. I have no fuel leaks either everything is dry. Any help would be appreciated really.

it sounds like you have it all doing fine now.................I say continue on, its obvious you have the tools and abilitys to deal with anything that pops up

 

I agree with Whit, sounds like you're on the right track. Get it all sealed up and chug on. May just have quite a bit of air in the lines from the last lp dying.. bleed 'er out real good. Diesels don't like air in the lines.

 

Ok guys I got it going again. It had just a tiny amount of air. So now I know how bad a little air in the lines affects it. Drove another 550 miles and no problems so far, knock on wood. Now my 4 wheeler is saying bad battery. If it aint one thing its another I guess. Just that the battery is new. But oh well I don't need to drive it back to Florida.
