I found a guy selling a a518 tranny but he doesn't know how much to sell it for and I don't know how much to offer. It has 120,000 miles on it, it's two wheel drive and it comes with the tps and wires. Can anyone tell me a reasonable price to offer. He says it works fine and I'm not in need of a tranny just thought it would be nice to have a spare.

If you know that it works I would say $500. If you can't verify with a drive or test of the transmission then $300-$400. If its been gone through and the mileage is just on the case and hard parts then the price goes up quick. These are just my opinions and guesses from what I have taken away snooping around here and there.

 

Ok thank you. The problem I'm having is he is trying to sell engine and tranny together and he doesn't want to separate them if I had the funds I would buy both but I don't so if I can get the tranny it would be great I just needed a price to offer

 

I sold mine for $400. It was a Jasper remaned unit too, but it never let me down.
