1990 p pump conversion upgrade questions
Ok, im now trying to figure out what combo to set up. I have a 1990 rotary, im doing the p pump conversion, i have the injectors out of a 1997 5.9, i want to upgrade with different nozzles, cam, turbo. Just not sure what to go with, way to many options!! The truck is a 1985 CC chevy, 4wd. It will be my daily driver, occasionally pull a toyhauler, and a lot of wood in the winter time. I would like to get to the 400-450 hp. I will do pump upgrades also. Just not sure what cam, turbo, and injector nozzles to run. I see some people are saying the spray pattern is different in the early model injectors? Just throwing this out there, but would a turbo from a 1999 24 valve get me where i want to be? I will also be installing guages!! Thanks for any help guys!!

well ill be at that power range with what i added and itll be running smooth and not pieced together, nor will i have to open the motor up like at all to mess with internals, im all stock except for the add ons
Still havnt heard back on those injectors for ya. For 450hp i would do a 60mm turbo which there are a few options there like a 35/40 or a s300 and no bigger then a 181/210 cam and head studs. I would just tune the pump up with a modified 100 type plate 3200-4000 gsk some 191 dv's rack the barrels and put a rack plug in it while its off since you have a 180 pump then i would bench the pump after the mods to balance everything out and pin it for 16* of timing. Then a set of 90-125hp injectors. Add an airdog and a new OFV to make sure it gets plenty of fuel.
