Default Hx 40 hybrid or 7 blade wheel

Can anybody tell me exactly what i need for a hx40/35 hybrid turbo. Would I be better off finding a 7 blade wheel for my hx 4o.

the cover and wheel. why do you want to run such a smaller turbo?

60/58/12 vs the hx40 at 60/65/16 the hybrid in my opinion is a bandaid. the 40 isnt the best turbo out there but i would choose it over the hybrid most all of the time

Isn't that worse than a 35/40 hybrid? Same compressor wheel but too small ex wheel and housing.

I loved my 58/64/14 hx40 but I was outgrowing it and put on a bigger turbo cheaper than upgrading the 40 compressor

I have a 6 blade hx 40 on my stock engine and it is a dog . I bought it this way. I am going to do the normal mods. So I found a 7 blade wheel but I think It might be a chinese wheel and I am a little leary of running one.

unfortunatly HX40's are in most cases dogs, doesnt really mater the wheel. thats why cummins never used them in production on the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. give your old girl some fuel she will get that thing spinnin up quicker.

So the wheel I found is a holeset wheel. Is it a matter of just changing the wheel or are there other things I need to do to change the wheel?
