a lift for your truck is very simple expecially just a 3 inch.
-get a lift so that the rear springs delete any or all blocks used fro m the factory. so if you have a factory 3inch block and want to go up 3 more inches make sure to order springs that are 6inches taller than the factory ones so you can delete the block. -not necisary but better-
-get good shocks. with such a small lift there will be MANY MANY differend kinds of shocks to choose from. i like air shocks for these bigger trucks. gives you that littel extra capacity when you want it or cushion when you dont.
- i wouldnt worry about a pitman arm with just a 3 inch. your geometry will be fine

I'm planning for crossover steering when I lift... the stock push/pull type rubs my tire so I can only steer part way to the right.
I found Skyjacker softride rear leafs for $300 each. Wish I could remember if they were 4" or 6". Stock replacements were in the $280-350 range. I've looked online too, but freight cost is insane.
'Jungle' over at RCC makes some nice lift hangers.
