Default H1C TURBO QUESTIONS

I have a late 1992 1st gen 6bt and it has the H1C turbo on it and I also have a few 4bt turbos that possibly have smaller CM exhaust housings on them. can I swap out say a 12,14 or 16cm EXHAUST housing onto my H1C and it work correctly. I would just like to boost as quick as possible for off the start pulling. its going in a 715 kaiser jeep 4 x 4 army truck with a NV4500 TRANS and 4.56 gears, 38" tall tires. all imput is appreciated by those who have "done this" heres pic's of my turbo it has a 21 cm exhaust housing on it from the factory now. i also have a few 4bt turbos could I swap a smaller say 12,14 or 16 cm exhaust side hsg. off one of them and it work corectly ?

not sure if the 4bt turbine housings would work or not but i do know that they make a 16cm turbine housing and possibly a 14cm for the h1c which would be a direct swap and would make a huge difference on spool

One off a 4bt will work as long as its an H1c of some kind. Thats what I'm currently running on my truck and it works pretty good.

You can run a 12cm with no wastegate and stock injectors. All those ex housings including the wastegated ones from the early 24v HX35's are interchangeable with your H1C.

That would be a waste of time and money - you won't even notice the difference. I have a 16cm I can sell you for $50 + s&h. PM me if you are interested.

how big of a jump in egt's would a person get going from a 21cm to 16 cm housing when towing say 10,000 lbs? I'd like to spool my ole' girl faster but not at the expense of too much heat.

Stock injectors, no pump mods = no difference.

yep stock injectors and 3200 rpm spring and 90 degree fuel pin turn to come yet. Trying not to get too radical. I like my fuel mileage where it is. Just want a little more boost and faster spool.
