Default Bosch 230 Injectors

Hey guys, sorry if this is a repeat thread, I tried searching for this info but didn't come up with anything. How much horsepower over stock are the Bosch 230 injectors rated for? Is the 230 the amount of horsepower? I'm just curious because if it works this way, then 370 horse is alot to add just from injectors from the 370's.. sorry for my lack of knowledge on this topic. haha

nope it dont work like that 5X0.012 = ~90hp to make a 370hp injector that would have to be like a 6X0.40 or something huge as heck

I just don't understand where the '230' and '370' and POD '300' comes from, and how much each set is ACTUALLY worth as an increase.

i have no idea either we in the business classify injectors by nozzle size and we know "about" how much power comes out of a nozzle if that makes sence

I think we really need to post something that can help people out with injector sizing and horsepower relations. IE- how the manufacturers come up with the horsepower numbers and what the numbers all mean.

Just a thought...

Good luck. The "advertised" ratings are more a sales "bling" tactic than truth. There are too many variables that will determine what the final HP can be for a given size injector. Averages are a manipulation and interpretation of the data. With just some tuning and minor upgrades, 300hp has been achieved with the stock 6X.009s. Needless to say, fuel equals HP. It also equals heat and any engine can only take so much.
