hey everyone im kinda havin a problem with my truck, it started last night and when i shut off my truck it still wants to run for a couple seconds and then shuts off, i live in salt lake city utah and its damn cold up here right now and i havent put any additive in my fuel yet i was wonderin if that could be the problem? i dont know i am just kinda curious as to why this is happening its never done it before.

COULD BE A FAULTY RELAY TO THE INJECTION PUMP

I bet your fuel shutoff solenoid is goin out

my truck does this when its cold to I dont thinks its anything to worry about

There is no relay associated with the injection pump. Power basically comes directly from the ignition switch to the injection pump.

This is quite possible. It is not unheard of for normal wear to have the fuel shut-off solenoid's (FSS) plunger begin to bind in it's bore. Replacement FSS can be had for around $15 ~ $25. Look for a Volkswagen diesel FSS. MUCH less expensive than the Dodge dealer.

I have a vw 1.6 tdi in jetta, the motor is shuting off it self wen worm/hot
and not starting with out cooling down time.
im assumeing it needs a fss.
Has voltage!

Am i correct?
