Default possible new turbo

friend of mine has a 1999 24v and he is making some serious power but he only has the stock hx35 and he ordered a s3000 and wants to sell me his stock hx35 for 250$ and i willl take up on the offer but wondering if i should buy the complete turbo (waste gate, exh housing included) because i am not sure if it will bolt right up and is it going to make a difference or should i keep the H1C and do the 60mm upgrade? i also would like more turbo whistle but will i hear it?

thanks james

cant tell you all about the exact fit of the turbo swap but you will very much enjoy getting rid of your lagomatic H1C!!! way faster spool up

wow cant wait to bolt it up!! now this is least on my worries but is it gonna have a loud spool? it also has the gds 60mm upgrade done to it and a 16cm2 housing!!
was also thinking of running twins with the stock H1C and the hx35 but sounds like a catastrophic failure LOL

dang. does he have the stock 12cm housing??? the big housing is going to hurt spool up noticably. upgrade is cool. is truck can just rev higher than yours (most likely) so the 16 was more or less wasn't as noticed. still better than your h1c. it will whistle with a open air filter. not the stock box though. take the ring out

i have a cold air intake and i will take out the ring and im happier with the 16cm housing so its easier to keepthe EGT's in check

i never get over 950 with mine with a stock housing. try both if your buddy still has the factory one. if you dont have a god awful amount of fuel you wont get a 12 scary hot.
