so my brother wants to sell his 3rd gen and get a really nice first gen since he loves my truck so much, but he has 4 kids so he kind wants a crew cab that has been converted but he will take a extended cab if its nice it has to be 4x4 5 speed and under 200k miles and I told him I'd help him find a nice truck so I was hope maybe if you guys see something cool you could post it up he is willing to go anywhere in the united states to pick it up hes also open to any chevy or ford conversions but it must be a VE 12valve

 

Thats sucks because mine is an auto with just around 230,000 thats just my luck

 

Ha ha yea mines an auto too but mine is just broke in at 144,000. I don't know if I could give her up though it took over 4 years to find it.

How much money ya got mine is a reg cab 4x4 5spd 151k clean as they come just needs paint the factory paint just started peeling this year

 

He has zero dollars for a regular cab like I said he has 4 kids but he has about 10-15k for a nice qaud cab or extended cab

 

Like I said before the only down fall to mine is its an auto with around 230,000 miles but the auto was rebuilt and only has about 15,000 or 20,000 miles on it

neither me or my brother would ever buy another dodge auto he had to put a ats stage 4 in his truck after 2 stock trannys and we went threw 3 tranys in 90k miles in a 01 5.9 gasser work truck we had 1 was under warranty at just 23k and it needed another when we finaly said FVcK it and just parted that pos out so a automatic is 100% positively out of the question

 

Not interested in selling it at this time, but thanks. I did not know if he was looking for a SRW or DRW. That is why I asked. I was going to mention that the extra cab W350 DRW 5 speed 4x4 trucks are an almost impossible combo to find. Literally, almost impossible. I would be real interested in seeing the Dodge production numbers for the 1st gen years by configuration type. Since he is looking for that config in a SRW, there might be a few more that are come across while searching. Still a brutally tough find though. I am the same way on the autos trans. No autos for me either. This puts us at a hugh disadvantage for searching. I would venture to guess that 90% or more trucks built were autos. I passed on some super nice auto trucks when I was looking...just couldn't get myself to go there. Manual trans can have issues as well and need rebuilding over time but for a tow rig I just don't like autos.

I saw that jacked up, tweeked red ebay truck. I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole at any cost. That truck has had 8 owners and tweaked like a bad science experiment.
