Put an ad up on craigslist for my stock exhaust and got an email from a guy who said he wanted the dp. Called him the next day it was the guy i bought the truck from years ago he needed the dp for his chevy conversion tow truck we got to talking bout the truck and i learned a little more history bout it he got it from a plumbing supply place down south here in De and towed it up on that very tow truck....

The splines from the factory slip joint will fit the splined collar in that borgeson shaft. If you cut your steering shaft right above the rag joint plate and cut a section of the slip joint splines the OD of the shaft is just about the same as the ID where you cut the rag joint plate off. Weld it in and you're good to go

Should be two bolts on the rag joint(lil rubber disc); roll pin down at the steering box. Btw good luck gettin that roll pin out. I wound up cutting mine out to save on beating on the steering shaft, couldn't have been healthy on the bearing or spool valve in the steering box.

My rag joint is held in by a roll pin and you have to use a drift punch to get roll pins out

I see that now, totally different than mine. I got the one for the removable shaft; otherwise it was going to still use the rubber rag joint.
