Default transfer case is shot need help

my transfer case chain is making one hell of a racket what t case can i use can i use one off a 4spd its a np 205 same as mine but in a gas truck with a 360.. wil another tcace bolt on need some swap answers please thanks

For one thing it doesn't have any "chain," and I think you are probably going to find the gassers had smaller input/outputs if indeed they did actually have the same type NP205 transfer cases. Just not sure about that last part, never compared any.

i was told the np205 is not gear to gear that it is chain driven.. wear can i get a complete rebuild kit.. no parts store in sparta wi has one to order

Who ever told you that is sorely mistaken.

The NP205 is and always has been a gear-to-gear drive. . . . .

I recently went through mine and renewed the main bearings and seals using parts from TranStar (Transmission Parts - Transtar Industries Inc.).

thanks i pulled it out last night and tore it down gonna clean it all up and rebuild it any up grades anyone would advise me to do i and going to twin stick it
