Get some chunks of coal, rev the engine up and drop them directly into the turbo intake.

If you watch semis (or my truck) they all put out a little puff when you get on it but as soon as the turbo spools its clean as a prius (except for the millions of gallons of diesel wasted to produce one, look up what they do to produce prius batteries). To add to what a few of you are trying to explain, smoke is a byproduct of power if you do it right and unless you really get into the extreme performance where you use it to cool, it should end as soon as the airflow catches up. The higher fuel to air ratio you have, the more smoke. That's why the running trashbag joke we have going on here is true. Kill the airflow and you'll get tons of smoke. The perfect balance is as much fuel as you can add while keeping it under the right ratio to air where it doesn't smoke. That's why semis, locomotives, and most stock trucks are tuned that way. As soon as you touch the fuel screws you go over that ratio and it starts smoking unless you do something with the airflow to keep the ratio the same. A truck will only have as much power as the weakest link between these two. Turning screws will only waste fuel unless you have the air to back it up.

Correct me if Im wrong guys but that's the best I can explain it.

In this case i would just go to YouTube and look for the vid on how to turn up your VE pump( its a lot safer then listening to these clowns!) and it will give you power, And with power comes smoke(If you tune it to smoke that is)

You ask a dumb question you get dumb answer. Simple fact of life man. If people wanting to do nothing but make their truck smoke doesn't bother you maybe YOU should find another hobby. Because it's these jack-heads who cover people with smoke through out their town that give us TRUE diesel folk a bad name.
