Default v-belt
I'm new to the 5.9 cummins, found out previous owner jury rigged alternator. found original bracketand willmount it back the original way. now I can't get the belt back on. Any tips or suggestions

On mine previous owner had had some how put shorter belt / wrong belt on that took out tensioner make sure you have the right length belt for a/c or non a/c.

The problem is maybe the belt is to short, following the diagram, but belt to short even with moving the tensioner the only way it will go. no a/c

got the belt on. just wasn't cranking the tensioner back far enough. problem fixed.
