Question kickdown cable/ tv cable?

i recently bought a 91 w250 with a the 727 automatic transmission. and im just wondering if it has a kickdown cable or tv cable? whatever it is ,its unhooked and ive been looking around and it says the tv cable controls the pressure and is vital for the transmission to work?
can you guys help me out here thanks

surpised it wasn't burnt up being unhooked. is the transimission operating correctly. (all but kickdown) is it shifting right and does it have engine braking in low and 2 when you manually shift it.

Is the cable bad? Should move freely inside of the plastic tube it goes through could have gone bad so they just unhooked it

If you have a problem with it glued in the full-throttle position, then you are a more sensitive man than I am.

I have 300 HP, a Goerend converter and Suncoast transmission with manual valve body and ratchet shifter, and I can't notice any difference when I move the TV shaft one way or the other.
