rswords is correct, why do you think they make heat covers and exhaust rap.

A Turbo uses heat (energy) to spool.

if you are talking high end drag truck or pulling truck why not a high end coating like jet hot? i did it on my ranchero street strip car,and it sure cooled it down under the hood.easier between rounds cool down / matinence

Can someone explain their theory as to why radiating exhaust heat under your hood instead of keeping it in the system, either by a hi temp coating or a wrap, is good for your engine or any other component under there. Where I work they just bought a 1.6 million dollar caterpillar loader and the whole exhaust is covered with insulating shields. It's a fact that the hotter a gas gets(ie. exhaust) the more volume it takes to hold it therefore hotter exhaust more boost.:rocking:Rocky
