Default first gen/with new style bed

ok a while back there was a guy asking about a first gen with a newer style truck bed. he wanted to know if the lines matched up well there is a truck here in kennewick that is set up like that and the first time i looked at it all i said was it looked stupid and i hated it but the more i look at it i see a little bit of beautie there with a little more work will post pic in a few minutes tell e what your thoughts are on it thanks guys.

I think it doesm't match for crap. Kudos to the guy for doin something different though.

I think it looks funny. The bed looks to rounded and smooth on the lines and the truck is SQUARE!!!!!

see that was my thought too but i think if he repainted the truck took all the trim off and just gave the first gen part a clean new truck kinda look that it might look like a decent truck. personally the first gen bed would have had to look horible and this bed would have had to be free for me to not juust build a flatbed for it but yeah he was thinking outside the box

I've seen pics of someone else doing this, via another forum. Doesn't do much for me personally. Those wheel wells are just about the most hideous things ever put on a dually, except maybe the ones they put on the newer Chevy and Dodges. The best ones were ours and the ones they had for the '06/'07, (I think?!) Mega Cab, IMHO.

I would have rather done a flatbed and sold that newer bed....... looks pretty bad to me
