ready to junk this truck!!
was moving the truck today and brother noticed the front passenger wheel was wobbling. i looked at it and drove it to see what was wrong and started moving the tires left to right and noticed TONS on play. i need 2 king pins, 2 tie rods, 2 wheel bearings, 2 u-joints, and also need tires. anyone have an estimate for all the parts minus the tires?
thanks, james
thanks, james
U should be able to do it for around $350 give or take and thats the most expensive parts from oreillys so if u use cheaper parts then u can save a little more but I like to do it right the first time but thats just me good luck.
I'm sure there's plenty of folks salivating at the thought of you getting rid of your truck... including me!

Seriously though, Rockauto.com, Partstrain.com, JCWhitney.com... there's another one I can't remember right now. Look them up and see what it'll cost you to fix it. You gotta remember, your truck is 20-ish years old, did you think you'd never have to replace anything on it?!
And even if it costs you $10k or more, (like mine is going to cost me), it's still cheaper than even a used one. On top of that, as Sweetv8S10 said, do it right the first time and you won't have to do it for another 20 years. $10k over 20 years is $500 a year. That's a pretty darned cheap vehicle right there.

should only take 350-400 bucks and that's with $150 bronze upper king pins. Stick with the teflon and you'll average 75-100 per side with wheel bearings included. Tie rod ends are around 40 a piece. Tires is where it's going to get costy.

I'll give you scrap price plus a couple hundred if you decide to go that route.
