Is the slave cylinder basically the same thing from the getrag transmission to the nv 5600? They all look similar other than the fitting on the back. Any help would be awesome

 

The cylinder itself is the same volume, with the difference you mentioned, but the pushrod itself may be a different length.
You can make your own pushrod from round steel stock, but be sure you have a plastic tip to put on the fork end.
