the threaded piece the filter screws on to has a slot on it, use something to unscrew it to take the heater off.

You guys haven't double-gasketed have you? Meaning when you take the old filter off, the O-ring stays in place so when you put the new one on there's two O-rings. It's super easy to do.

Nope, didn't double gasket it. When i changed the filter, I had the damn thing off probably 20 times trying to figure out why it was leaking so bad.

Be aware: that O-ring is actually a Square-Cut O-ring. (That O-ring that goes between the top of the fuel heater and the engine head).
