Anyone have a number on how much a dressed 12V weighs? Im getting ready to pull mine in the next day. I want to make sure my engine stand doesnt break and have a large piece of my garage floor being broken as well.

I've heard around 800 pounds I'd add 400 just for a safety cushion. So if your stand can handle 1200# I think you'll be safe

Thats about right without the head. 1,100 is a better answer.

Most typical engine stands wont work, not beefy enough. Also you want an adaptor to hold the block from the side. If you bolt it from the rear like you would a regular engine the leanth of the 12v will want to flip it forward.

Mine was about 1000 without the turbo/exhaust manifold/injection pump. My engine stand held it just fine hangin out there. It's a tight fit to get the engine out the front has to be about 6 inches higher than the rear to clear the firewall and radiator. I left the bellhouaing on though
