Default IIIINNTRODUUUUUCINGGG......

My buddy Joe finally got his diesel. You guys will know him from here as "shortmansyndrome". He'd been suffering through life driving a Grand Prix with the 3.1l and know he's living high on the hog in a '92 Ex-cab 250 4x4, 5 spd. He can fill ya in one the specs when he gets home but here's some pics:

It's got 210xxx on it or something like that. Previous owner was called and the KDP is done.

We gotta lose this funky suspension in the rear. It has some kind of cantilever set up where a center rear bag behind the axle supports the back of the leaf spring thus supporting all the weight. It's weird and rides like hell. If anyone knows what I'm talking about chime in. We'll need the rear shackle mounts to get rid of it if anyone has them laying around.

And if ya don't pump the brakes once before coming to a stop the anti-lock light comes on and the pedal is real mushy. Thoughts???

There's a tach on top of the dash on the left side. Is that the factory tach?

Joe, fill them in on the rest dude. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Now start learning up on this 1st Gen stuff.

Guess what he paid for it?

thats not the factory tach, id love to have that truck, extended cab 5 speed 4x4 intercooled, only thing that would make it better would be a dually.....probably paid next to nothing cause he got a silly *** deal......get to turning the screws and order that 3200 spring.....dodge should have the rear shackles pretty cheap.....

all she needs now is a little body work and a good paint job and she'll look as good as new. Maybe adjust the rear drums...I know that helped with my mushy pedal.

mushy pedal usually means air in the brake line somewhere.. especialy if you pump it once and then it gets hard and you have good pedal..also as stated check the rear drum adjustment

Probably gonna need a new master cylinder. Pretty common problem among all the first gens I've seen including mine. Congrats on the new ride

I know mine has that problem, and my buddy puddlepirate had the same problem. By this time, they are just worn out I think.
