Default chassis saver vs por-15

redoing my 92 dodge w250 complete removed the bed ,cab and front clip. fixed the kdp with a stainless piece to keep pin in . now to the truck frame. removed the tank, old rusty brake lines , now the wire wheel the frame .but i am looking to do this one time only.was looking for information on chassis saver and por-15 but i am getting mixed reviews so i am turning to the diesel bombers for your help. what where your results with either product i want to do this one time only !!! from what i have read they say not to sand blast the frame but to clean the frame with a wire wheel on a grinder , and paint over the rust. whats your thoughs on these products. you input is very much needed. price is not a problem, just want whats the best

I would clean the frame as good as you can, then use an epoxy implement paint.

I covered rust 5 or 8 years ago with POR-15 and it's not reared it's head since. It might need a top coat if exposed to sunlight (check the can). The one problem I had was, even though I stored the can as instructed it dried in the can. High dollar stuff to loose. Try to use it up soon after you open it. I think it lasted a month in my fridge. Other than that I like it. Haven't heard of chassis saver.

would like to thank the people that responded to this post i will try the chassis saver on my son pick up .from what i am understand that both products seem to need a top coat of some type . i will try the equipment epoxy as a top coat . the local auto parts sells the por-15 will have to order the chassis saver online. have a great day .

POR-15 is some really tough stuff, If you follow the instructioins and really clean the area of oil and grease. I get it in pint cans and try to use them soon after opening.
