727's arent exactly known for their efficiency. unless you have an upgraded torque converter what the engine is doing wont be put to the wheels in an efficient manner. star wheel and smoke screw wont really add to the overall power, just when the power is applied

you were way overloaded for the truck and eng mods it will pull it but dont get a heavy right foot. tranny is everything i just pulled 10 thou. pounds with my 91.5, trust me i was not at highway speed but pulling a 6 yard dump trailer with 800lbs in the bed was way to much, I ran about 1300 egt's at 40 mph. I just took it slow.I should have drove the 2001 3500 but i love the first gen.

stock trucks dont pull great if you had a good tight trans and converter you would notice night and day if you want the best pulling truck leave it most 99% stock and get a good trans rebuild and converter

How about this, leave your full power screw alone. Do the gov spring and trans mods. I think that should do fine.

about the gov spring when i bought this truck the pump looked new the gasket look as if it just came off the counter but my truck is the 727 trans and i can let it go at 65 pretty easy and the engine doesnt seem to be screaming i was curious is there any way i can tell about a gov spring with out taking it off i just dont want to spend the money if its already there
