Question Fuel Gage Issues 1992 D250

Is there an after-market fuel sending unit available for the Dodge D250 1st Gen Trucks? I really don't want to pay for a new fuel sending unit that cost $150.00 and up just to fix a fuel gage. Fuel Gage is erratic and sometimes shows accurate level sometimes it is somewhere between and sometimes is completely bottomed out as if you had turned off the switch so assuming it is sending unit.

I know that one from a Ramcharger mostly... You just lose about 1/8 of a tank on either side of the gauge. Most Chrysler sending units are probably similar.

I don't know of an aftermarket, generic sending unit. Somebody probably has one, each one would have to have an ohm range to fit a specific gauge though. I don't know what our ohm range is.

I like melon.

Plenty of uneversal adjustable sending units out there. I have used on in boat tanks that looks like a tube with a small rod centered in it. Has adjusments on the top to set it for your tank and gauge. Gonna have to drill some holes n your takn though.

I would just get the factory replacment.
