is there any good way to make the cab a little quieter ride? the engine is loud, my tires howl, the turbo screams, and on long road trips i cant hear myself think. i was thinkin sound dampening material on the firewall, wheelwells, under and behind the cab. opinions?

 

Use some Dynamat under the carpet.

get on summit racing, they sell this stuff called "BOOM" its a spray on sound deadening material, its convenient and allows application in tight and places that get wet. its kind of pricey but compared to dynamat it cant be any worse. its not very robust so using it as a floor liner wouldnt be recommended. more than one layer for best results.

 

Also check out Lizard Skin its a spray on they make a couple different types depending on what your trying to achieve.

For a low cost sound deadener, buy some cheap old paint and mix it up with sand and apply a very thick coat to your floor boards & firewall.

nothing better than that
