I have looked at alot of intakes for the first gens, Here is what I came up with. I went to my buddy's diesel repair shop and started looking around the old trucks they pull parts from to keep guy's going down the road. I found the intercooler pipe from a mid 80's frieghtliner and figured it could work with a little cutting and rotating around. I cut the stock intake tube and used it on the turbo end. went online and found a K&N with a 4inch ID, i'm sorry I cant remember the part number for the filter. and this works great.I made a small bracket to help hold the tube in place.

Thanks, jdbigblue12v. I works great and looks good. I think it's better than running the stock tube. E.G.T. Down about 150 dgs.

 

Could you make something out of PVC or would that melt?
