Hi i got an 89 cummins none intercooled and some cash... Its got a Denny T stage 2 fuel pin and 4" turbo back straight exhaust. Should i get a bigger turbo with an intercooler or just the turbo? Whats the difference in HP?

 

if you do the intercooler it will put cooler air into the motor. cooler air = more power, more eficient running.

pressure= temperature, more pressure more temp, more reason for an intercooler. if you're running plenty of pressure with little EGT problems then an intercooler isnt so much necessary as nice to have, if you have EGT problems ontop of high boost pressures some method of aftertreatment is the only way to go. get the turbo, see where your egt's lie, cut the fuel back some if they arent controllable atleast until you can get an intercooler.
