5.1 apply lever

Remove trans, remove torque converter, . . . .
- Adjacent to the oil pumps cover (inside the bell-housing), there's a 1/4" drive threaded plug.
See bottom left, about 7:30 . . .
- Remove that plug and the lever's pivot shaft can then be pushed out of the case.
See right side of image, @ 3:00, you can see the pivot shaft.
Be sure to inspect the forward band. Specifically where the lever's strut engages the band. That and where the band is anchored. All needs to be in very good shape as that 5/1 ratio lever is very hard on all those parts. That's why I went with the 4.2/1 lever. More reliable.
