Default 5.1 apply lever

So, I bought the 5.1 apply lever. Kind of assumed it would be a straight forward install, I don't see where I can remove the pivot pin with out further disassembly than just pulling the pan and valve body. Could anyone tell me what it takes to change the apply lever out?

Remove trans, remove torque converter, . . . .

- Adjacent to the oil pumps cover (inside the bell-housing), there's a 1/4" drive threaded plug.

See bottom left, about 7:30 . . .

- Remove that plug and the lever's pivot shaft can then be pushed out of the case.

See right side of image, @ 3:00, you can see the pivot shaft.

Be sure to inspect the forward band. Specifically where the lever's strut engages the band. That and where the band is anchored. All needs to be in very good shape as that 5/1 ratio lever is very hard on all those parts. That's why I went with the 4.2/1 lever. More reliable.
