Wiring wastegate shut
How can I keep the wastegate on my hx40w closed with the wastegate assembly taken off? If it can be tied shut where do I do it on the Turbo?

I bolted one closed with a turnbuckle that you can get at any home improvement store. You just need a place to hook it to on the turbo may have to fab up a bracket for it. You could try to tie it off but the wire will stractch over time and allow it to open slightly.
From what I've read I should be able to freely move the flapper in the turbo with the piece that's still on the turbo. I can't move mine a bit, what's a good way to break things loose?
If the actuator is still on, you shouldn't be able to move it from the inside.
I took one of the bolts for the wastegate actuator and put it back into the exhaust housing. I used it as the anchor for some lock wire that i wrapped around the wastegate arm.

If it didn't come with an actuator and it won't open then someone has already shut it off some how. If its shut and won't move freely that is what your wanting right?

I don't know if its stuck open, closed or partially open. I have a Denny t fuel pin, fuel screw as far as it can go, afc stuff, pod injectors and a low pressure piston lift pump and my truck runs 22 psi I can't even hit 1200 egts. The only thing I Can think of is the wastegate stuck open.
The truck runs great and it will hold 22 psi but I know it should be higher.
It has good fuel pressure and the trans isn't bad, I Just can't figure out Why I have such low boost an egts foe my mods.
