Default Front drive shaft

I got a 92 one ton 4 wheel drive but when I bought it it was missing the front drive shaft. Just wondering if a shaft out of a newer dodge would fit in its place or if Im better off buying new or going to a junk yard? Any thoughts???

junk yards work wonders and for the low price of 33 bucks each replace the U joints while its out

Im having mine made today about 300 bucks with new u-joints. I have to get it custom made i have about 12 inches of lift.
