help hooking up valet switch
#6
Point of what? The valet keeps your pump from fueling at the top end by cutting off the boost pressure that moves the fuel pin diaphram up and down. It's used for better mpgs, towing and letting unexperanced drivers drive. Mines just in an easy spot that I can operate from inside and I have less than $15 in it.

On newer electronic vehicles yes but this type of "valet" is to cut off boost pressure to keep the fuel pin from moving on the top end for better mpgs, towing, etc. I read about it and a friend of mine has one on his '90 and he says it helps his mpgs so I thought what the heck.

the word (valet) is a term used do set a controlled environment for someone else to drive your vehicle. in this case you don't want some one that doesn't know how to handle the power to wreck your truck or let you teenager take it for a joy ride. or to get better fuel mileage.( haven't tried that one yet). I don't have one yet but i will when the twins go on.
