the throttle posi sensor was a big problem in alot of these trucks. mine was in to the dealer a good 50 times in the 1st 3 years of ownership for kicking out of OD. they tried saying we had too heavy of a boot on. the crap they came up with was priceless. they finally figured it out and fixed it in half an hour for 18 years. when i put my fuel pin in 1 weeks ago it started doing the same. i had had the sensor off to get the pin in and it had silicon on the bottom of it. i pulled it off, cleaned the bottom of it, made sure the plug was in right and have not had a problem since.

try taking it off and making sure everything is clean and on properly. i looked into one and they want 400$ for one so its worth a shot

i will try that. oreilly wants $314 for one. this truck is gettin expensive.... i got 1800 in the truck, 58 in exhaust 175 + 40 (to mount) in a set of bad to the bone mud tread studded snow tires, 70 in an idler that i didnt need, 550 in an ac compressor and ball joints, a few bucks worth of lights, and 150 in a windshield!!! i lil more than i expected to spend. BUT...i have a truck that i shouldnt have to do much to for a while.... i hope. my 05 needs about the same amount of attention and the 93 parts are so much cheaper. I want another 1st gen. already!

i hear that man.

when i started with mine i expected it to be cheap. spent 450 on a box and new fender liner...50 on a back rack... couple hundred on CB equipment...couple hundred on lights...not to mention upper/lower ball joints/new locking hubs/all new brakes/new tires and rims/stacks etc etc. im in deep with it now but its totally worth it. i can blow past all the ricers and burn holes in the ozone at the same time so im happy
