Default different harmonic damper?

Has anyone tried using (or heard of anyone using) a harmonic damper from 2nd gen 12v or 24v on a 1st gen? I need a new damper for my 93 and know a guy who has a very low mileage damper of a 97 for cheap. Just curious, I know they're neutral balance so figured some other years might work

I believe they will fit, but not sure if the crank sensor will clear.
Something tells me that it will, you'll just have to adjust it further away from the damper.

Mark.

I don't have a sensor on for now, but yeah, I see what ya mean. I also heard the 6.7's use a "fluidamper" type from the factory, but doubt that would work on a 93. Appreciate the come back Mark

Got one off a 97, fits just fine. It is a little bigger in dia. but I need to make a bracket for the tach sensor anyway. Also heard 24v will work, but like Mark said there will be sensor clearance issues. Actually, looks like even 6.7 would bolt up but the toothed ring for the CPS is on the inside and wouldn't allow for proper belt alignment with the other acc.
