Default intake airbox

Icebox mfg now sells an intake for the first gens which uses the stock tube but you can get a aftermarket filter. this is a very nice airbox. go to Iceboxmfg.com i think. hope this helps.

What sort of tranny do you have? If you've got an auto, I'd be surprised if you got 20 mpg's. My best was 18.9 running empty @ 65mph. If you've got the G360, 20+ should be easily attainable. First thing I'd do is check your tire pressures, (max. pressure) and turn down your pump. Depending on how much $$$ you have, and what your HP goals are, I'd just swiss cheese your factory box. Just stock, it'll flow enough air for 300 - 350HP.

i dont have excessive amounts of HP yet. all i have is pump turned up. i think cutting holes in my stock box is a good idea for now. did it with my durango and it made a huge difference.

yeah its an auto unfortunately. maybe i should just take my foot out of it more often. but it sounds so good to not give'r all the time

Is there such a thing? Yeah, the thing that will govern your mpg's more than anything else is your right foot.
