try pressing down on the primer lever on the lift pump. if it feels like its not doing anything then it could be shot. ive gone through 3 in the past 3 years no. ever time it seems like the same thing. it will still supply a little fuel that will make it seem like its working but its really not. has your truck been sitting out in some cold weather the past few nights?

Just had the lift pump shoot craps on me last week, on the car hauler.
I went and paid the ~$110 for Speedway's version of the Holley "Black" pump.
Yeah, it is a bit noisy, but this truck starts and runs better now, than it has since I did the Cummins conversion on it over a year ago.

It is likely I will not run a stock POS lift pump on anything I own again that has a VE.

Mark.

Well you definetly have fuel issues. Have you tried testing for pressure, while trying to start?

hey mine did the same thing i would deff replace the stock lift pump i learned the hard way i didnt know either and i burnt up my injector pump, turns out it was one little 30 dollar lift pump you can pick up from a local parts store then also its a better idea get a electric fuel pump like a holley blue or black there like a 100 to 150 bucks aint much compared to a 800 dollar injector pump
