Default Getrad Tranny

I was wondering what kinda torque and HP a getrad can handle before you should throw an NV4500 in it. I cant afford to do that swap yet, so I dont wanna blow my tranny if i get some comp injectors.

How much quarts does it take? And is the only way to fill it from the side of the trany?

5 quarts is a good number. (5w-30 Motor oil, Synthetic is best) You can fill it through the PTO Cover's upper bolt hole (once you remove a bolt) or through the shifter hole (once you remove the shifter).

I did mine through the PTO cover bolt hole with a kerosene syphon pump deal. it was like $1.50 at the farm store.
