Replacing valve stem seals?

Replacing valve stem seals?
1990 D250 Cummins powered Ram Dodge with 118,000 miles. It gives a ball of oil smoke when I first crank it. I'd like to change the valve stem seals.
Do any of you have the steps/advice written down?
Where can I find good guidance/procedure for doing this?
Anybody got a set of photos?
I've got a Cummins 6BT5.9 shop manual but it goes through a full out of the frame overhaul.
Is this something that's too complicated for a shade tree weekend mechanic? Parts are only $20.
Big Whit

Here's BC847's writeup to doing valve springs... i followed it and it worked great for the valve spring install. It should help you out a ton too.
