Which lift pump???
My LP on Goldies the factory one im sure, it's got to be wore out. My question is should I go with the factory replacement or run a Raptor or something? I don't wana really drop my tank, and I like the manual prime, so what do ya think? I'm not thinking of running any high HP any time soon, I don't think

If you check the sticky theres a thread on putting a second gen lift pump on which is more reliable. I just replaced mine last week and put the stock 1st gen LP on from the auto parts store. My rig has some modification and i can NOT suck the stock lift pump dry. you would probably be fine with stock, but look into the second gen one. its pretty trick.

i am thinking of going this route and just need to make a plan.

In my opinion i would stick with a mechanical pump. The Holley is $175 new, plus you have to plumb that in, run wires, and mount the pump somewhere. Seems like a lot of unnecessary work. Especially living where we do the road salt takes its toll on wires. The last pump lasted what 20 years? and is still going, so what would be wrong with putting a NOS one on for $50 and 2 bolts?
