what you want for your wheels Phil (if ya still got them)....i know this is the third time asking but dad is wanting some wheels for the 1st gen when he gets it back and since yours are in such good shape (minus the chipped tread) i figured he would want them..........

Richie you got a hood scoop on the 89 over the turbo?

Its non functional. The original owner put it on. It is the exact same scoop that came on the big fords in the 70's. I know the town has a big f600 fire truck with the same scoop on it. I like the look. I should make it functional but Don't want to cut a hole in the hood. The truck is to nice to cut up.

Some times with larger after market turbos the outlet can hit the hood. My Silver 62 crossover pipe hits my hood. I had to remove the insulation and beat a support flat with a hammer. It still touches everyso often but not like it was. Also if you flip the manifold (like for twins) the turbo sits higher.

Here is my set up. The 90* elbow on teh outlet is what hits.

Bobby, an air filter would probably increase the life of that engine and turbo. Just a thought!!
