bulb 1st Gen seat questions

I have a buddy that is VERY interested in getting a diesel, and I have been trying to talk him into getting first gen. But his main argument is interior comfort. So my quiestion to all you first gen owners, How hard would it be to replace the factory seats with some newer stock type seats out of another truck(does not have to match brands)??? I know you all love the bouncy old bench seats, as do i, but you cant make a guy from long beach appreciate the little things like that.

I used power seats out of an '04 Dodge. I really wanted a seat out of a Chevy though.

Easy with a club cab. Not so much the standard cab.

There's just not enough room to do anything with better seats. I've heard you can get the club cab chairs in there, OK for a small guy. But even so, they won't recline much, if at all.

I have a 40/20/40 bench out of a second gen. you just have to redrill some holes, and make a few spacers for he difference in height.

oh, and the seatbelts are different, use the first gen ones.
